I just realized I never posted anything from my checkup this week. I went to the doctor Tuesday for my monthly checkup and everything is going well. I was a little shocked that my weight had increased so dramatically since my last visit. If I remember correctly, I'd gained about 5 pounds in a month. I'm not concerned though. My doctor never says anything about it, so I must be doing ok. The baby's heartbeat is still 148-150. My next appointment is in another month and then I'll go every two weeks; then every week until I deliver!
I really need to get my pictures and video in order. I still need to get the pictures from our 22 week ultrasound up. And, I'd really like to see if I can get part of the video I took of the ultrasound posted. Time... Time... Time...
In other news, yesterday my brother-in-law that works at B&W in West Point got hit in the head by some part of a crane. The crane operator somehow misjudged where he was and swung it right into the back of Rex's head. It appears that it only knocked him out. The scans of his head and neck showed normalcy. We praise God that it was not too serious. He is off work for a couple of days, but he is REALLY BLESSED!

26 Weeks
I can't believe it's been a month since I posted last. I guess I just haven't had much going on to report. I still don't have anything really, but I did put up some new belly shots for 25 and 26 weeks. They look the same to me - belly size that is. Here's the latest (taken yesterday):
I go back to the doctor tomorrow for my regular checkup. We will go to childbirth classes in March. I'm starting to get my showers lined up which is fun. I've done all I think I can do on registries. I need everything, but felt silly putting everything on there. I figure most folks buying for a new mom know what a new mom needs. Anyway, in case you're interested, here's my WalMart registry and here's my Babies"R"Us registry.

It's a BOY!
Yesterday was our BIG day. We got to see our baby via ultrasound and discovered that we are having a boy! Knowing the gender really adds another level of reality to this pregnancy. We are so excited and will be thrilled to meet him.
I don't know what it is, but it seems like 'everybody' really wants us to have a boy. We know that we are being given a gift from the Lord. He has given us a boy - it is what He wants us to have - probably what the world needs if I know anything about my heavenly Father! We are thankful to Him for giving us this blessing.
We do not have a name picked out yet, but we are working on it. Perhaps it will not be too long and I'll be able to share with you all what we've decided.
Of course, we went shopping yesterday and purchased some things we've been eyeing. You can't find out what you're having and not buy anything! We settled on the bedding for the crib and a pack and play that matches the same design. We also picked up an outfit for the little one. I will take a picture of it and post it here soon.
